Grand River Poultry adheres to the strictest procedures to ensure that the highest standards of sanitation and food safety are met or exceeded.
Each facility has four CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) inspectors and one CFIA veterinarian working full time to ensure that these standards are maintained.
Grand River Poultry has achieved HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points) recognition.
Having this recognition indicates that an outside, impartial organization has determined that we follow the highest known food safety, production and environmental standards.
Our commitment to safety and freshness is further exemplified in our method of distribution. We have our own fleet of trucks and our own uniformed drivers whom we train in food handling and temperature control. This commitment reduces the number of people who handle the products during the poultry-processing continuum and ensures the company’s control over food safety.
